CONDITION & DESCRIPTIONS: Typically at Uniques & Antiques Auction Sales biweekly estate auctions, all items are sold "as is" In our cataloged and live online auctions we modify this policy for 10 business days and guarantee all items in this catalog to be as described. Announcements and online additions during the day of auction take precedence over description in catalog and online listing. If we state facts about jewelry such as gold content or Weight, it is sold as fact. Carat weights and quality are approximate and to the best of our knowledge and may vary by appraiser. Measurements are in inches and are approximates but within reasonable margins. If we state that a painting is by or signed by "A Particular Artist", you may bid as if it is. If we note restoration, repair, damage, or defect to a piece in the catalog, look it over for yourself and bid accordingly. We try to picture damage in the online listings. Please ask for additional images of any damage you are unsure of. If there is a problem concerning condition, authorship, age, or originality you must return it within 10 days. After the 10 day period, all items are considered to have been sold "as is, where is": as is our usual policy. This 10 day policy applies to online purchases with one exception. In the case of the item being shipped: If the item is damaged or repaired, purchaser is required to notify Uniques & Antiques immediately upon receipt of shipped item. Acceptable notice is email, phone or fax. We will then arrange for return. Items are guaranteed as to authenticity for 10 days after receipt by purchaser. We must be notified by fax or email within 10 days of receipt in cases of authenticity. REGISTRATION: Buyers must register for a bidding number by giving name, address, phone number, and photo identification acceptable to us. Please show your bidding number to the auctioneer after each purchase you make. Online bidders must have a credit card on file with the prevailing online auction service. The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer shall decide the buyer or immediately put the item up for sale again. Some lots are offered subject to reserve, which is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold. The record of sale, kept by the auctioneer and clerk, will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes. BUYER'S PREMIUM: A buyer's premium of 20% of the hammer price shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. The total sales price is subject to applicable sales tax. Complete payment is required in cash, acceptable check, Visa/Mastercard, or selected online payments (Paypal, Billpoint). In the case of online auction purchases, payment must be received within 7 business days. It is recommended that you use Overnight trackable method to make your payment. REMOVAL: Items purchased may be removed once payment is made. All items should be removed on the day of auction. Items are shipped within 5 days of receiving payment or clearance of check payment. SHIPPING: Items that are to be shipped will be subject to shipping and insurance charges. (See our shipping policy) These charges include insurance for the full purchase price, Packing, supplies and postage. Some items have fixed US shipping charges. Other items have variable charges depending on their bulk, and distance of travel. International shipping is expensive, please inquire about specific charges before bidding. ABSENTEE BIDS: We offer the absentee bid service as a convenience to our patrons. We execute your bid as if you were in the audience, attempting to obtain the item at the lowest price. Uniques & Antiques Inc will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute any bid. These bids must be in writing or submitted electronically. Please bid using our preset increments listed on the catalog front page. Please keep in mind that because bid position can be unpredictable, it may be possible for someone at the auction, or another absentee bidder to buy the item for your top bid price. Bids of the same value from two or more bidders will be awarded to the bidder who placed their bid earliest. The auctioneers decision is final. PERSONAL INFORMATION/ PRIVACY POLICY: We do not share our bidder information, addresses, email addresses or other personal information with anyone. We use your information to communicate with bidders regarding purchases and other auction business. By registering for this auction, we will put your email on our email notify list. These notifications act as a reminder of our upcoming auctions and provide valuable information. To be removed from this list, simply respond to the notification with "remove" in the subject line. Shipping charges are listed in the description.
Shipping is a convenience to the buyer. All of the items in our auctions are available for pickup at our location after the auction. There is NO CHARGE for picking your item up at our location.
We realize that sometimes item pick up is not possible, we are happy to ship your item at the stated rates plus insurance. Shipping charges are not negotiable, they are set fees. Please keep these charges in mind when bidding. United States Shipping rates are stated on each item that we will ship. This cost includes packing labor, packing supplies, shipping charges and up to $100 insurance included. International rates will be more, and may not be possible at all. Email us for more info. We use United Sates Postal Service priority mail with delivery confirmation, FedEx Ground, UPS Ground and Freight shippers like Pilot Air and ABF. Items will be shipped within 7 days of receiving good payment. We usually ship very quickly, some difficult and fragile items take more time to package properly. We will send a shipping confirmation via email. Combining shipping: We do combine shipping costs for multiple item purchases, but we do also charge for packing and handling. Our quotes for shipping and packing after the auction are not negotiable. Please take the LISTED packing and shipping cost into account for each item. If you buy more than one item, the packing and shipping cost will likely be less. Insurance: All items must ship with insurance for full auction price. The first $100 of insured is included in the quoted shipping charge. Additional insurance is charged at a rate of $1 per hundred dollars of value (i.e.. Insurance for $1,000 is $9) Pick up Only: If this is listed in an item description. This item can still be shipped but you must get a quote from an outside shipper. We cannot quote shipping charges for these items.WE are located 10 miles south of Philadelphia PA. (Aston PA 19014). Crating and shipping large items is expensive, at least several hundred dollars, please be informed as to the charges before bidding. Pickup: Items are available for pickup weekdays from 10am-5pm. We will store your item at our location for up to 30 days after the auction if you would like to pick up. We will work with your shipper if you choose to use a third party shipping company. PAYMENT IS STILL REQUIRED within 7 days of the auction close, regardless of pick up time. Items left over 30 days will be subject to $5 per day storage fees or resale of items.
