Description: An amazing collection belonging to an even more amazing person. His name is Luigi, and he will be 102 years young in 2005, really no kidding. He has decided to retire, lay back and enjoy other things in life. The collection we are presenting for him is only a small part of what he owned over the past century. Much of which was bought and offered at the two galleries he had in Boca Raton, Florida. The name of the business Luigis Objects D Art Gallery. The main store was located on Federal Hwy. at Palmetto Park and a smaller space in suburban Boca at Powerline Rd. & Palmetto Park. Now, it all sits spread out, and piled high in and out of boxes in a 4,500 sq. ft. warehouse. You can imagine the cost of storing it for the past 7 years. He and his family have decided the expense of storage and the days of wheeling and dealing are over. Luigi, says let it all go, give someone else the chance to enjoy it and make a few bucks. It?s not like Luigi is incapable of doing business, God bless him, he is going strong and enjoying all life has to give. He is in excellent health, until recently, he did all his own driving (1989 Caddy) and gets around better than most 60 yr. olds. He is, one incredible human being.
So, via the internet, eBay and our web site, we are presenting his treasures to you. There are close to 5,000 items included in this sale. Everything that you see in the images except the building and any books laying around or in boxes. The books have been promised to a local school library. Most of the important items, some 2400 of them were appraised and tagged in 1999 with an estimated wholesale (with a slight markup) replacement value of $1.2 million dollars. Luigi believes in turning inventory, so he worked very close to his cost. Unlike some galleries that use a 500% mark up only to offer at half off all the time. Luigi wanted happy customers to return and buy more and that was just what they did. We are not going to load this page with image upon image of the inventory. We have developed a web site especially for that presentation. Please go to our Ebay ME page and click the link welcoming you to Luigi?s Collection, or just click HERE There are in excess of 400 images on the site, all set up by catagory and presented in a slide show. If you want specifics or larger detailed images, we will do our best to get them to you.

We will tender offers for various categories of items. Maybe you are interested in all the bronzes, paintings or collectors plates. Our total lot posting as you see now, will last for ten days. If after the ten days no bid is placed on the entire lot, we will accept offers on smaller lots. We will then list the requested lot on Ebay as a BIN at the agreed upon price we arrived at. Again it will be a private listing by invite to just the person we have struck a deal with. It will only post for 5 days. Then the remainder will be listed less the purchased lot and the resulting reduced value. We will only consider large lots or large dollar amount partials. Please don't contact us to offer on a single item or small group of items if the value is under $5,000.00. This is listed as a private auction for the protection of our customers . Instructions to bidders:
We are very interested in delivering what we offer and having happy customers. Our feedback's are proof of that. In the same respect we want bidders who deal honestly with us. Doing business with individuals and companies whose integrity and intent is clear sure helps for a smooth transaction. When we present listings that involve high dollar items we ask that those bidding abide by a few important requests.
Please contact us about all details of bidding and inspection or viewing of what is being offered when the amount is over $3,500. In some cases it may be wise to have an agent local to us inspect the offering if you can't do so yourself. Any listing over $3,500 are only made available by private auctions. The identity of the bidders is only known to us. We also restrict who may place a bid on those items. You must be cleared by Ebay and Verisign for credit worthiness. We need to clear you for placing a bid. This must be done days before an auction is scheduled to end and not the day or seconds before it ends. If you attempt to make a snipe bid on the listing, Ebay will inform you that your bid is not valid. If we do not add you to the approved bidders list, you will be out of luck. So, please contact us if interested in placing a bid. If you attempt to contact us for permission on the ending day or after, don't give up. Chances may be that the listing does not sale and we can add you to approved list for the next posting. We will then notify you with the start time of the next listing or others like it. To be approved on our bidder list, we will need to establish that you are serious about the transaction. We will require company or personal name, address, phone number and contacts. We will discuss details of previewing what is being offered. It's amazing how many bidders with no feedback record will place a bid and not follow up with payment. When this happens, it's a nightmare for us. Ebay has charged our account for the listing and final value auction fees. We can only retrieve the final value fee, not what it cost to list. This is also unfair to serious bidders. The latest scam are with hackers Pfishing for account holders and performing ID theft. They place Buy it Now bids with intentions on paying with fake checks and escrow services. We will do all we can to clean out this type and allow for a smooth transaction with our serious honest clients.
Our bidders have a right to privacy. Be assured, that we will never release your ID or e-mail address to anyone outside our company. |
