A vibrant series of paintings in burnt red, mandarin and gold. Paintings from this series have been sold since 2002. These works are inspired by the medina at Sale in Morocco. I spent two months living in Sale and every day I would visit the Medina. It is a truly awesome experience and nearly impossible to describe the colors, smells and sounds. My favorite shop was the spice stall. The colours and fragrances were a feast for the senses. Saffron, cumin, paprika, yellows, oranges, reds in every hue. I feel that this series captures some of the essence of the Medina and hope that you agree.
The Passion series commenced in 2003. I was asked to create a painting for a charity auction in Brighton UK. The original painting is pictured above and was successfully auctioned alongside work by several celebrities including Rolf Harris. The painting was titled The Passion of the Child and drew inspiration from my catholic childhood. The colours were inspired by the priests vestments and the cross by my vivid memory of the stations of the cross. As I began to search for answers to things going on in my life. I developed the series to include poetry and quotes from the bible and Pope John Paul II.
Ah! La Série De Fleur. I am a complete Francophile. As a child we visited France on several occasions. It was such an adventure, driving from Scotland, traveling on the ferry to emerge in a land where the people spoke funny, it was sunny (this alone was alien to me:-) the butter tasted sweeter, the patisserie sold the most delicious pastries and I was allowed to have a glass of wine at dinner. I was hooked. Since moving to Kent, I have continued to visit France and hope to move there permanently. What is there not to love about France? Fields of Sunflowers, the lush green hills of the Limousin, Lake Annecy, the River Vienne, Brie, Camembert, wine, garlic and culture. The Fleur series is a series of textured floral paintings. The style is loose and free, the feeling that France evokes in me. Created using a diverse palette range, from rich earthy hues to more neutral creams and browns. As diverse as France itself.
Couleurs De La Vie, Colours of Life. There are several possible interpretations of this series. The diverse range of colours represents the complexity of life, the colours represent different stages of ones life, these are just two of the interpretations put forward. The truth is that you are free to interpret as you please. To me, it is simply how I feel inside on a sunny day. Its vibrant and full of energy. Its bright, colorful, like the garden in full bloom. Its happy, fun and the series I find easiest to paint.

Returns Policy: Please examine your parcel upon delivery. If there is evidence of damage, torn packaging, a hole in the outer wrapping; please do not sign that the parcel was accepted undamaged. Inform the courier that you wish to sign that the packaging was damaged. We have only had two damaged paintings in 3 years of trading and in each case we replaced the painting immediately. If the painting is not to your satisfaction we offer an exchange or full refund (minus postage costs) so long as the painting is returned to us within 7 seven days in its original condition.
Plagiarism:
Unfortunately, many of the more successful artists on Ebay suffer terribly from this. One example by a German seller is shown below. The reality of the issue is that you the buyer will end up buying, in most cases, an inferior work of art. A digital image hides a thousand mistakes and the quality shown on screen may not be the quality you receive. Also, you are not buying a work of art that has been created with the essence of the originating artist. You are simply buying a cheaper fake. I know which I would prefer hanging in my home......
