Bella Ballerina - Bronze Art Sculpture by Villarreal

"Bella ballerina" is a bronze ballerina signed by the artist Villarreal. The dimensions of the sculpture are 31 inches (height) by 32 inches (length) by 17 inches (depth). The base is approximately 10 inches by 20 inches. "Bella ballerina" weighs 45 pounds. The work in green patina depicts a slender ballerina at point holding onto a chair. Artfulle acquired "Bella ballerina" from an art gallery that had discontinued business. We believe the artist is Mexico's well-known sculptor, J. M. Villarreal, but we are not certain. The seat of the bronze chair is signed "Villarreal" and, we believe, the bronze dates from the late 1980's. The bronze is not numbered or dated.
