Sculptures by Lee "Freedom Won or Shared?" Lee is pictured here with his latest sculpture. The approximate 7' square and 6' tall sculpture is a mixed media. There are over 5000 individual metal feathers on each bird, each having a shaft and veins, and each being hand cut and welded to a skelton frame. The sculpture also includes a real taxidermic snake, which adds to the life-like qualities of these majestic birds in battle. Note the detail in the hair-like feathers around the beaks of the eagles, as well as the expression in the eyes and mouths. This sculpture is so life-like, you will feel the spirit of the bald eagles when you look at it-the power, the glory and the strength. The bald eagle was chosen June 20, 1782, as the emblem of the United States of America because of its long life, great strength, and majestic looks. This magnificient piece of art signifies not only the strength and beauty of the bald eagle, but also the struggle for freedom that we all enjoy and share. How easily it can be fragmented or threatened with the acts of September 11, 2001. Lee, with over 5000 hours of pain staking intricacy and crafting, has depicted the wonderful idea of freedom to choose, as well as how easily it can be taken from you. The fact that one eagle has captured the snake and while he had claimed it as his own, another has discovered it, trying to raid the spoils of the founding eagle.
LEE WITH SCULPTURE This is a life-size sculpture as a comparison can be made with Lees size to sculpture. The sculpture displays realism, as it is air brushed with a durable automobile paint finish, matched perfectly with true life, eagle colors.
This is a "one of a kind" sculpture with a certified appraisal of $310,000.00.
THE SCULPTURE IS LOCATED IN COLORADO.
