When I worked on this I was in a reflective mood and thinking about all of the elements of our world that come and go...the pay check, the TV shows, the fashion, the music... and then I realized that there ARE elements of our lives that we know will be there such as the sun the sky and water...the earth...these things have been here for an eternity! I found myself painting what I consider to be a glorious image of the setting sun and all on the earth that is good and beautiful!!!

OK, before you read the shlock that I have composed herein, let us pause for a NEWS FLASH!!!: I have been accepted into the exclusive community of the Collingwood Arts Center, in Toledo! My work is on display there along with a collective of some other fabulous artists. Stop by if you are around the Toledo area. Now on to my ramblings... I create art because I can. I don't have a magic formula for why I create. I am a rather eccentric and chaotic person and cannot pin down any qualified reasons for being an artist. Let's get real here: I can't keep track of my car keys let alone figure out where I put the car...how do you expect me to come up with a good reason for being what I am: AN ARTIST!!!

I have a dregree from a renowned art college. BIG DEAL!!! It just means I took the time and had the money. Anyone can do it. Am I talented? You be the judge. I think I am just &*%$ crazy!

Oh, yeah, I live in a house in an old neighborhood in Toledo, the armpit of the US. (How artsy is that!) MY delightful bohemian studio is a wreck, with empty tubes of paint, old scraps of canvas, brushes strewn everywhere, dog toys hidden behind paintings and at any given time a cat or two playing with dust bunnies in the corner because I am so oblivious to the chaos I never swept them up. And yet I know where everything is! Ah yes the life of the artist! Well, at least it keeps my anal retentive husband away!!!
