This is the former "Glamour Gallery Vintage " of Portland Oregon store stock. When I had the store, I was known for having fun, fabulous, authentic dresses, accessories, shoes, jewlery, eyeglasses, sunglasses, displays, headvase(s), just a TON of marvelous things. In this lot are literally hundreds and hundreds of garmnents, hundreds of pairs of shoes, a couple of authentic Chanel items, as well as Pierre Cardin, Oscar De La Renta, Mary McFadden, tons of fifties and sixties party dresses, day dresses, evening gowns, prom dresses, wedding dresses, FUNERAL dresses, dance dresses, pantsuits, jumpsuits, skirt and jacket suits 1940s 50s 60s,stilletoes, platforms, go-go boots, long and short psychedelic polyester dresses, early 70s bride and bridesmaid dresses, costumes, skirts, hats, Shaheen, Perette, Domb, Faye, Fiorucci, Kennington, cotton, silk, rayon, brocade, acetate.... literally WAY too MUCH TO LIST!!!!! It would literally take months to photograph everything individually, and probably a week to view the auction from hell once it were complete. I am inviting questions about this mega-lot that is a sure fire WOWZA of a start, or augmentation of an existing vintage fashion boutique. Also, a few hundred pairs of sun glasses, eyeglass frames... almost all have been thoroughly cleaned and polished... ready to wear/sell at $30 - $100 each! About half of the clothing has been handwashed, steamed, ironed priced... in some cases even repaired! I am setting up this monster in a storage space and will take private appointments to see and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. Many garments would sell more quickly if shortened, many need minor mending like hems, zippers, buttons, etc. I do not sew, therefore this occupation was not for me although I exclusively wear and shop for vintage stuff. Almost all of our items are cool in some way. A few doggies, but for the most part, we're talking good quality wearable stock in ALL sizes , eras, etc. See my other auctions for a feel of the kinds of stuff I like!!! One dress , when repaired... email and I'll send pics.....could sell for upwards of $1,000 as it IS the most coveted gown I've ever owned. When it was on wall in shop, 95% of the girls/women who came in gasped and exclaimed that it was the most beautiful thing ever seen! 1930's creamy white silk chiffon entirely dotted with rhinestone studs with beaded empire waistline and matching hand beaded straps... wedding dress of the century ... looks like something Ginger Rogers would have worn. Needs a couple of things done to it, although not impossible to get this thing "walk down the aisle-able". I could honestly list and sell this enormous collection for the rest of my life... there is so much! But I am an artist deep down inside, and all of this keeps me FAR AWAY from ever having time to create anything! Lots of these items have and will continue to inspire my art which has always been glamour girly optimistic colorful funstuff! I am not selling these items individually, and my ebay auctions that do not meet their understandable reserve prices will be added to this collection i.e., Chanels, etc. If you live close to Portland, or are interested enough to take a trip out here, I'll give private 1 on 1 tours so you can examine this outrageous treasure trove for yourself. Rent is affordable, town has charming shopping areas... but not ONE vintage shop!!!! Ponder the possibilities.
