Modularity - In combination with the SelectaDock III or SelectaBase PC Card Enabler, this device allows you to move from simple cable management of your ThinkPad to full-fledged desktop functionality complete with cable management and network connectivity capabilities. Allows the use of external devices - Allows the use of external devices such as a monitor, optional keyboard and printer without connecting/disconnecting each device individually every time you move your notebook. Provides easy connectivity to multiple peripherals - Provides easy connectivity to multiple peripherals with one simple snap. Universal serial bus connector - Allows attachment of many USB supported devices.

ThinkPad 600 SelectaBase - Front View     Front View 1 The lock indicator shows the security key position so you can easily see if your computer is locked. 2 The security key is used to secure the computer and its features. Is also used for undocking. 3 The PC Card lock prevents the cards from being removed when the security key is set to the locked position. 4 The PC Card lock switch controls the PC Card lock. If this switch is on and the security key is set to the locked position, the PC Card lock is raised. 5 The computer lock prevents the computer from being undocked when the security key is set to the locked position. 6 The hard disk drive guard protects the hard disk drive from theft. 7 The docking connector connects your computer and the SelectaBase. 8 The ejector, on the left and right, eject the computer from the port replicator when the security key is turned to the eject position.

Rear View 1 The USB (universal serial bus) connector connects a USB device. 2 The mouse/pointing device connector connects a mouse or other pointing device. 3 The keyboard/numeric keypad connector connects an external keyboard or a numeric keypad. The keyboard (and numeric keypad) on the computer cannot be used when an external keyboard or external numeric keypad is attached through this connector. You cannot connect a mouse or other pointing device to an external numeric keypad. 4 The power jack is where the AC Adapter is connected. 5 The Security keyhole physically secures the SelectaBase from theft. 6 The game connector connects a game device. 7 The parallel connector connects a printer or a parallel device. 8 The line-out connector connects an audio device. 9 The serial connector connects a modem or a serial device. 10 The external monitor connector connects an external monitor. 11 The external diskette drive connector connects an external diskette drive. 12 The expansion connector is where you attach the SelectaDock I, II, or III docking system or the SelectaBase PC Card Enabler.
