     If you are interested in installing an attractive outdoor sound system for your home you'll love the Armageddon Rock Loudspeakers. The incredibly life like rock castings are virtually indistinguishable from real boulders. Yea we said "boulders" not little rocks. The Armageddons are 27"x19"x17" (LxWxH) in size and weigh approximately 100lbs each. They are made from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete(GFRC) and are definitely "Architectural" quality yard boulder reproductions.

     In terms of "Sound Quality" there is simply nothing else available anywhere which can compare to the performance quality sound these speakers reproduce "outdoors". Here's why:

    1. Almost all outdoor speakers on the market today have cheap, no-name, imported "indoor bookshelf" or "car" speaker drivers glued into an unrealistic small plastic molded rock. If you are interested in comparison shopping just ask the salesman or manufacturer: "What is the name the manufacturer of the components used in the speaker and where do they come from?" You'll likely get a lot of "uh....oh.....I don't knows" as an answer.

     All Armageddon Rock Loudspeakers utilize components (loudspeakers, crossover networks and horns) engineered specifically for sound reproduction in a "free air" environment by Eminence. Eminence is the undisputed No.1 loudspeaker manufacturer in the world.     2. All speakers are not equal: Indoor and automotive speakers are engineered specifically for their respective uses. With indoor and automotive speakers the presence of boundaries or walls is required to both build up the sound pressure levels(SPL) and/or to reflect the sound waves throughout the listening area. Take away the walls and they immediately sound terrible. That's why when you put your living room speakers outside for a party they don't sound at all like they do in your living room. So now you can imagine the quality of sound you are likely to get if you mount a pair of "bookshelf" speakers to the outside of your house. "no bass" etc...

     At 420watts each the Armageddons reproduce warm, rich full range sound "outdoors" at volume levels ranging from "Background Sound" all the way to "Ground shaking", "Bug your neighbors 2 blocks away", "Sounds like a Live Band in your yard" performance levels with no sacrifice in sound quality. "plenty of bass" With their 4 speaker system the bass is even "tactile" in your yard.

    3. Most rock speakers suffer from an engineering flaw which leads to either poor sound quality or water damage. Plastic cone woofers and tweeters are used to keep water from damaging the driver motors. Plastic cone woofers reproduce sound poorly when compared to paper or treated paper (which isn't waterproof). Here is the choice: Sounds bad or fills with water and stops working.

     As far as weatherproofing goes Armageddon Rock Loudspeakers have a specially engineered baffle which re-directs and traps water (even a direct full power stream from a garden hose) so that the drivers are never exposed to the elements. This innovation is pretty important since you'll probably want to put them in a planter next to your pool and sprinkler heads without having to worry about your investment turning into an expensive huge paperweight.
