Our Story ?

My husband had a dream of having a retail furniture store, having worked in a furniture store in high school.  Together he and I purchased land and contracted to build a quality building.  We went first class all the way, yielding a beautiful structure.  Numerous customers told us that our store was the most beautiful furniture store they had ever seen.

A year ago I was in an accident.  I had a broken arm and damage to three discs and vertebrae.  Eighteen days later my husband required emergency colon cancer surgery, the diagnosis stage three. 

Today both my husband and I are doing well.  My husband just had a good report from his oncologist and will continue to be checked every three months for some years.   He is looking good and feeling good. 

I am doing better myself.  It has been a long road of physical therapy and doctors visits; however I am in a much better place today. 

In the wake of all that we have been dealing with it became abundantly clear that we need to simplify our lives.  We closed our retail business and now have put this beautiful, quality, building up for sale. 

In 1996, with purchase of land along with the construction of the building and landscaping, the cost was $913,000.  Because we are ready to move on with our lives, we have priced this property to sell at $795,000.   We feel whoever purchases this property will have a great deal.

While my husband has lived in western Michigan all his life, I have not.  I have lived here for 16 years and have found a very high quality of life.
