http://cycling.tv is proud to present the Cycling World Championships live from Madrid Spain. Cycling.tv once again brings cycling enthusiasts the races they want to see, Live.

Live from Madrid, Spain the Worlds best cyclists will be racing to the line to see who will bring the highly coveted World Championship rainbow jerseys home.

Beginning the week, the world.s fastest cyclists will sport their state of the art aerodynamic equipment and compete for the title of the 2005 UCI World Time Trial champion. Such notables as, Michael Rogers (AUS), Bobby Julich (USA) and Santiago Botero (COL) are expected to set the pace to victory. Absent from this years Championship will be 2005 Tour de France Time Trial sensation David Zabriskie (USA) but he states, "unfortunately I can.t be racing in Madrid this year. I was looking forward to the World.s TT, not being able to race due to injury is tough, but I.ll be watching the coverage Live on Cycling.tv.."

The time trial action will last 2-2.5 hours and then for the convenience of our viewers, highlights will be available on-demand. We recommend that you join us live for all the excitement, prize competitions and the chance to interact, question or simply just put straight the commentary team!

Sunday the 25th Cycling.tv will deliver the Men.s Elite Road Race to its viewers. The excitement of this one-day race will be brought into the homes of cycling enthusiasts at no charge. The road course within Madrid is suited to the sprinters and all eyes are on Tom Boonen (Bel), Alessandro Petacchi (ITA), Robbie McEwen (AUS) and all-rounder Alejandro Valverde (SPA). With the rainbow stripes on the line, the action is guaranteed to be fierce. 2-2.5 hours of live coverage will be delivered to the viewer and for those that can.t see the live action, highlights will be available on-demand soon afterwards.

Managing Director of Cycling.tv Simon Brydon states, "It is exciting to be in a position to bring races such as the World Championships to our viewers and even more exciting when we can do it live. We are cycling enthusiasts ourselves and these are the races that we would like to see. Broadband television has a massive future and all we want to do is deliver the best cycling programming to our viewers. For the rest of 2005 and 2006 we have plans for more live racing, live news and magazine shows.."
